Michelle says: In general, these bars are very tasty and sweet. It makes you feel like you’re eating a healthy treat. However, regular flavors are on average not very filling and slightly higher in calories if you’re just looking for a little snack. However, that being said, I recommend the Super protein for a pre-workout snack for 16g of satisfying protein!

Odwalla says: “Portable Protein Power! With vegetarian soy protein, we bring you 16 grams of pure protein might and 8 essential amino acids per bar – all sweetly blended with soy nut butter. A baked boosting experience with a crunch.”

Michelle says: My default pre-workout bar if I’m really hungry and want something that’ll work my jaw while delivering satiety AND fuel for the workout. At first glance, I love the fact that it is heftier in size than regular power bars and far more “healthy-looking” (as opposed to candybar-like). It tastes cinnamony and sweet and it smells SO GOOD. Kinda like a giant oatmeal raisin cookie! The raisins baked into the bar are a great addition to the texture, which is highly chewy but also slightly crunchy thanks to the little grains of soy protein. The only pitfall is that this bar requires lots of water to down it because it is quite sweet and it is VERY chewy.

Score: 8/10 (Would totally buy it again. But you can’t eat this often or you’ll get sick of it – fast)
