Michelle says, There are so many things going SO RIGHT for Justin’s nut butters, including…

  • Vast selection of products! (3 flavors of PB, 3 flavors of Almond Butter!)
  • They come in 3 sizes:  Jars, packets (2 Tbs), and 100-calorie packets!
  • Their packaging is fun, colorful, and puts a smile on my face 🙂
  • The website is interactive and creative!
  • This is one of the few almond butters I’ve tried so far that isn’t OVERLY sweet!
  • You can do lots of things with their nut butters! Check out their site here.

I’m a big fan of Justin’s nut butters, both almond and peanut! I’d say, try the honey almond butter and the cinnamon peanut butter first. Find ’em at a local Whole Foods (or if you’re lucky, Jewel or Toy’s R Us!!) near you! 🙂

First Impression: I absolutely love the appearance of Justin’s Almond butter! It’s got the flecks of brown that gives you the grainy texture and the adorable packaging of course!

Taste: First of all, I wanted to say this is one of the few almond butters I’ve tried so far that isn’t sultry sweet. There is a subtle honey flavor, that you can savor at the end of each bite of AB. This went perfectly in my AB&J sandwich where the sweetness from the banana overwhelms the honey flavor completely. However, you definitely do taste the Almond flavor from the butter, and it is fragrant, nutty, but much less pronounced than say, peanut butter.

Texture: Not perfectly smooth, but a little more grainy (and less oily) than your average peanut butter or Barney butter consistency. It feels so natural and unprocessed to eat this almond butter, plus I love that it isn’t floating in oil!

Overall: 8/10. This AB is for those who don’t like their nut butters too sweet and you like ‘em natural-looking with a grainier, chunkier texture than your regular smooth AB or PB!
